“Oscars of the Ad World”: Cannes Lions – Part 2

Cannes lion award

Cannes Lion Award

The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity wrapped up its 61st annual gathering of 12,000+ creative communication and marketing professionals from 94 countries.  The who’s who list of attendees included some of the most influential ad agencies and companies and the most sought-after innovators and rising stars.

The awards programs give entrants validation from their peers and get creative juices flowing for future projects.  These two entries both received top honors in the category of Direct Marketing:  Digital and Social.  Entries in this category had to be

targeted direct communication designed to generate a measurable response or specific action whilst building and prolonging relationships

and would be

judged specifically on how the digital medium/social platform was used to generate consumer response.

The first entry is from Interlude USA for Sony’s Like a Rolling Stone by Bob Dylan.

BOB DYLAN LIKE A ROLLING STONE | Entry | Cannes Lions Archive.

The next is from Lemz Netherlands for Terre de Hommes entitled Sweetie.

SWEETIE | Entry | Cannes Lions Archive.

We hope you agree both are powerful examples and will serve as inspiration for your inventive side.
